About the Studio Director & Instructor

Mauro M. Marcoccia has been praised for his passion and enthusiasm when it comes to passing on to students a love, appreciation, and enjoyment of music and music making. He is noted as a patient and inspiring instructor who communicates well and helps each and every student learn successfully and aspire to great music making and personal confidence.

As a lifelong musician and encouraging educator, Mr. Marcoccia’s approach to student success always looks ahead to the sense of satisfaction and accomplishment every student experiences from effective learning and a job well done—be it mastering a difficult piece, grasping a technical problem at a beginner level, gaining insights into harmony and theory, or just enjoying the success of being able to play a favorite tune.

Mr. Marcoccia holds a Bachelor of Education degree (University of Western Ontario) and the ARCT (Associateship) Diploma in Piano Performance (with First Class Honours standing) from the Royal Conservatory of Music.

Mr. Marcoccia also provides services as a piano accompanist to outside string, woodwind, brass, and voice students who need piano accompaniment for their exams / performances. In addition, he is available to perform stylish arrangements of piano music for various engagements such as church services, personal gatherings, school occasions, and other community events.
